I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy getting my haircut at Jude's Barbershop and how satisfied I am.  I began coming to your establishment after my barber retired - he was an old-time barber that I had been frequenting for about 20 years. He did the neck-shave, talked about fishing and golf, and asked about kids...all that kind of stuff.  After he closed his shop in 2004, I was at a loss.  I tried many other places, but none could match the experience I had and the service Gordy provided.  That was until my wife read the article about your Grand Opening Downtown.  I was very excited to see that you were planning to try to recreate that type of experience with which I had grown up and continued to experience well into adulthood.  I like the idea that you were taking that "old-time" barbershop and including the modern twists.  Then the icing on the cake...good old fashioned Pabst Blue Ribbon!  My first visit was the Saturday before Labor Day in 2005...and I haven't had to go to anybody else since. – Steve A. Let me tell you about my haircuts: I do not like to go to the barbershop/salon. I usually wait until I cannot stand my hair anymore (about 4-6 months) because I hate it when the stylist asks me "how do you want your hair cut?" because honestly, as long as it looks okay, I could care less. I end up just pulling into the first barbershop I see along the road when I can't stand my hair any longer.

A week ago, that barbershop happened to be Jude's Barbershop on East Beltline. Heather asked me if I wanted a beer, which would have been nice except I had a meeting later that I couldn't smell like beer for, and when she asked me how I wanted my hair cut and I responded "I don't really care, just do something that looks professional" she said "ok" and that was it.

FINALLY someone who understands that I, unlike apparently most people out there, couldn't give a hoot about their hairstyle, as long as it looks presentable. After my haircut, straight blade trim, hair wash and neck massage, I thought "it's about time," meaning I am glad I stumbled into Jude's and next time I get my hair cut, I don't think it will be out of frustration.

The haircut was good. I would expect nothing less from a professional place like Jude’s, and I’ve never been disappointed with the cuts I’ve gotten from your various shops. But the part this young lady did exceptionally well at the customer service aspect of the job. I’ve been in customer service for almost all of my 30+ years of working, both on the front lines, and in more recent years, teaching others to exceed Customer’s Expectations, for companies whose brand name means everything to them, like Coca-Cola and AAA. These companies sell nothing that you couldn’t get a reasonable imitation of much cheaper, so the reputation for service is paramount. What brings customers back, and keeps them loyal, is the service they receive, consistently pleasant and polite. Jude’s is in the same position, building a lasting customer base on name and reputation. Quality service is at least as important as quality hair cutting. Your new employee brought those skills with her. She was cheerful, personable, and very friendly without seeming too familiar, and willing to be playful when I started joking with her. – Tedrick S. As you are aware, Jude’s Barbershop is new to the Frandor area and I pass it every day at least 4 times daily. Each time, I remarked that I needed to stop in. Today was the day. Not only was the décor super cool, your staff was awesome.
